Mr Picasso flowers - round 2

We are pretty fond of Mr Picasso.

We like what Mr Picasso says about children and art.

Every child is born an artist.
The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.

We like his faces.

We like his peace dove.

We like his flowers.

Last year, we drew Mr Picasso flowers with markers.  (A surprise for the mums for Mother's Day.)

This year, my student teacher and I decided to change it up, and make multi-media Mr Picasso flowers.  Paper, paint and crayon.

We started with construction paper stems and flower centres.

Sponge painted on flower petals.

And added final touches.

I'm thinking Mr Picasso would be proud. (I sure am.)

  5. I just adore reading about the art you do with the kiddos! You are such a wonderful resource for teaching children art appreciation as well as art at their level. I've already pinned this activity, and I hope to try it out with my son over the summer. Thanks for sharing at Stress-Free Sunday at Fun-a-Day! Hope your week is going well!
