It's just about the end of 2012.
It's time for one little word.
A word to sum up hopes and goals for the coming days, months and year
One word that sums up who you want to be or how you want to live. It's time for one little word.
A word to sum up hopes and goals for the coming days, months and year
I am choosing a word that I embrace, aspire to, and hope to live up to.

Joy is far deeper than happiness.
Happiness is dependent on external circumstances.
Joy comes from a deep contentment that comes from within.
Contentment born of the knowledge of a life lived with purpose.
A life lived with arms open wide.
A life open to exuberant out-loud joy and quiet, reflective joy.
A life open to experiencing and deeply feeling
exhilarating happiness and fundamental grief
exhilarating happiness and fundamental grief
without being lost in either.
A life lived with love.
Beethoven set joy to music.
The musicians of San Sabadell, Spain bring it to life.
Enjoy.
What is your one word?
Sandi,
ReplyDeleteI always love flash mobs, but this one was so very special. It was absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Hmmm ... maybe I will pick joy for my word. (If that is alright with you.) Not sure yet ... decisions are always so hard for me.

I love all the kids conducting during the flashmob :) They were living joy in the moment.

You always move me. I love this flash mob. I made my family watch it Christmas morning and most of us cried. Joy is big.

My mum sent me the flashmob link before Christmas - I got a little misty first time I watched it.
DeleteJust visited your OLW post - made me think - thanks.

ReplyDeleteI've learned through experience that it is possible to have joy when happiness is elusive. Thanks for sharing this beautiful post! Happy New Year!

Joy is available to us - even in times of unhappiness, even when the road is hard.

Perfect word choice! It is sometimes easier to see the bad in life (with lots of complainers and the news) - but I think there is so much more to be had for working a little harder to see all of the joy and wonder there really is in the world!
ReplyDeleteSandi, I love your word choice. My OLW is BALANCE. 2012 was a crazy and incredible year for me but a long the way my scale was tipped way too far over in the work department. Now I loved everything about what I was doing, but I'm not sure it was worth the expense of the billion other things I love to do in my life too. So I'm hoping with BALANCE being my word of 2012, I will better be able to pursue more of my passions. Karen
ReplyDeleteYou had an amazing year (professionally) last year - don't know when you found time to sleep! I hope that this year is just as amazing - but spread out among more of your passions.

My word is COMPLETE. I hope that this word reminds me always that I can fail, I may have limitations but whatever happens, I am still alright because I am complete.
ReplyDeleteJOY is such a great word. I wish you a joyful year and may you find and spread joy the whole year through :)
Great word for 2013. My word is epiphany. I'm excited to see God revealed in new and exciting ways in the coming year!
