35 kids and one hill

that's how we roll

It has been dry and windy for the last couple of days.

That means that our hills, that have been slick with mud since October, were getting-close-to-summer dry.

And that meant that we could indulge in one of the joys of childhood.

Spread out.

Make sure your feet don't crash into anyone.

Stop before you get to the bottom - there's concrete down there.

And yes, I'll hold your stuff.

Ahhhhh .... one of the joys of childhood.

Linked up with Outdoor Play - so many fabulous things to do outside - whatever the weather!

  1. Brilliant Sandi, love that the best activities are often free! What brilliant memories you are creating for your class. However I have to say 35 - wow, that's a lot of children!

    1. Oh - I don't have 35 kids - that would be insanity! We have just over 35 in 2 classes.

  3. That was my favourite kid activity too. I tried it again a few years ago and almost made myself sick -- ha ha!

  4. We are lucky to have a hill right outside our classroom too. It is a popular picnic and reading destination. Hills are wonderful! If you don't want to roll just lay and gaze at the sky. Liz :)

  5. This was one of my favorite things to do as a child. Now, I want to find a hill and roll with my daughter. Thank you for sharing at the Outdoor Play Party, and I hope you come back again to share tomorrow.
